After watching this quite a few times, and then having friends also watch it, I have decided it is a set up. The sound of the action and the shot came from either Doom or Half Life (I voted Half Life). When he racks the slide, notice that the hammer did not move. There is no muzzle flash when you view it frame by frame, and no smoke.
The kid still deserves a trip behind the wood shed.

I wouldn't trust that jackass with anything more complicated than a shovel.
He could hurt someone with a shovel, hand him a bag of sand - something he can go pound.
And he'd probably drop the bag of sand on someone's foot...LOL.
